Friday's horse racing tips: Free tips and odds for Newbury, Newmarket, Epsom & Thirsk

Harlington (Epsom 15.50) – 0.5pt each-way @ 4/1 Bet365 Flowerhead (Newbury 16.45) – 1pt win @ 10/3 William Hill She's The Duchess (Newbury 17.20) – 0.5pt each-way @ 3/1 Bet365 Elarak (Newmarket 19.00) - 1pt win @ 10/3 William Hill Panelli (Thirsk 19.10) - 1pt win @ 9/2 Betfred Racing correspondent Jonathan Doidge, who was 9.82pts in profit for Glorious Goodwood, has taken a look Friday's racecards and picked out his best bets from betting sites. There's some competitive action to get stuck into across Friday's cards and we'll start with a look at Epsom. Friday's Epsom Tips The home of the Derby stages a six-race card, with an interesting contest being the Betfred Play Fred's £5 Million Handicap (15.50), which has drawn a field of nine. Twlight Guest and, if he takes his chances, Offiah's Boy both look likely to be popular on horse racing betting sites and both can have cases made. However, Harlington came back to winning form last time out at Chepstow. He showed a good attitude there to hold off his main challenger, with the front pair more than two lengths clear. He's up 3lb but we know from previous efforts that he is capable of running to a few pounds higher than that and he looks a big each-way player and may just be good enough to win again. 16.45 Newbury Tips At Newbury, the Listed Sequoia Hair & Spirit St Hugh's Stakes (16.45) has drawn a good field of speedy fillies and the pick, judged on her 100/1 second in the Group 2 Queen Mary, at Royal Ascot, looks to be Flowerhead. Charlie Clover's string is in good nick at present and this daughter of Starman has clearly surprised a few people already this campaign. She wasn't quite as good back at Ascot in the Group 3 Princess Margaret last time but she should be up to seeing off this field, even if just repeating that latest effort. 17.20 Newbury Tips With several runners in the Christopher Smith Associates LLP Handicap (17.20) having claims, there could be some value to had on horse racing betting apps and that may prove to be the case with She's The Duchess. George Boughey's string are, admittedly, not quite firing on all cylinders but this Bated Breath filly is still proving to be a consistent performer. Yet to win on turf, she's finished second on three occasions, with her sole win coming on debut on the Tapeta at Newcastle. She's been dropped 1lb, which won't harm and you can set your clock by her recent efforts, which adds some confidence. Her trainer has decided to add blinkers for the first time to the tongue tie she already wears. That, and the combination of the drop back to 7f here could prove shrewd moves and she looks sure to go well. Friday Racing Tip 3: She's The Duchess (Newbury 17.20) – 0.5pt each-way @ 3/1 Bet365 Friday's Newmarket tips Over at Newmarket, there's a cracking race in prospect for the JenningsBet Stevenage Handicap (19.00). Nine have been declared for the 0-100 contest over 1m and they include Dark Tornado, who has been in super form this summer and Dutch Decoy, who has won this race in the past and is a very reliable yardstick at this venue. The latter is feared but there's no doubt he's exposed and that's certainly not the case with Elarak. Charlie Hills' three-year-old was an easy winner over C&D in June. That was in novice company and backed up an earlier Lingfield turf success. He was never involved back here in Listed company last time and to get involved we'll have to put a line through that form and hope that he will be much more competitive now entering handicaps. His level of form from those novice successes suggests that he might have got in lightly for this race and it could again be a good time to catch him. Thirsk tips Finally, in the Vision Windows "A Clear Winner" Handicap (19.10) at Thirsk, it looks worth giving another chance to Panelli. The Kingman gelding has finished second on both an AW novice event (7f) and a Leicester handicap (7f, good to firm) this year. Back up to 1m and on soft ground at Yarmouth last time, he disappointed. Perhaps conditions were to blame for that and we'll know more after this race, which is back on ground forecast to be fast. George Boughey's charge is still open to improvement after just two handicap starts and he can come good this time. Please gamble responsibly Bettors should always practice responsible gambling. Horse racing tips: ‘Nothing can beat him and he won this race last year' – Templegate's 3-1 NAP at Windsor

TEMPLEGATE'S horse racing tips for all the British meetings on Thursday are below. Back a horse by clicking their odds. NIGHT BREEZE (7.30 Windsor, nap) Shrewd and in-form trainer Ian Williams can strike with this son of New Approach, who carries a 5lb penalty thanks to his smooth win on Saturday's Shergar Cup card. He stayed well on quick ground at Ascot and he won this race 12 months ago so trip and track are ideal. HUSCAL (6.30 Windsor, nb) Had shocking luck at Doncaster last time and can make amends here. Charlie Hills' three-year-old had a full tank entering the final furlong on Town Moor but had to sit and suffer behind a wall of horses. When the gap came, he picked up well but the line came a few strides too soon. He'll be right there again. Is in flying form for Jim Goldie and this looks another solid chance. He's won four of his past six and was another who didn't get the best of runs at the Chepstow Racing League meeting. This race looks no tougher and he's a fair price. NEXT BEST Race 4 No.4 ZOUNAKA: Consistent mare that wasn't far away in stakes grade in her last start back in March. She has trialled up well and can run well fresh. VALUE BEST Race 6 No.2 THUNDERING SOUL: Did more than enough first-up when working home nicely from the back at Gosford. He will be hitting the line strongly again stepping up in trip. QUADDIE Race 5: 3, 5, 8 Race 6: 2, 3, 4, 5 Race 7: 2, 3, 4 Race 8: 4, 5, 7, 8 TRAINER TO FOLLOW Leading trainer Kris Lees has had 427 winners on his home course and has five chances to add to that tally despite promising filly Cantiamo lining up 24 hours earlier in Sydney. JOCKEY TO FOLLOW Apprentice Braith Nock rode more NSW winners than any other rider not named Aaron Bullock last season and looks set for big day with several hopes, including Faye Runaway and Quein Step. â– â– â– â– â– NEWCASTLE INSIDE MAIL RACE 1: Class 1 Plate (1880m) FAYE RUNAWAY (7) was scratched from the second event to step out over more ground over 1880m in the opener. Her record of two placings from 11 starts doesn't read like much but she is coming off a career best performance after flashing home for second over the Kembla Grange mile last time. She finds a winnable race here. STORM PARK (2) is building to a peak performance after laying the groundwork over shorter trips this prep. Third-up now is a winnable race, he gets is chance. HIPPY DREAMS (3) should be another significant improver up in ground. VERDICT: FAYE RUNAWAY (7) to win. BRUT NATURE (2) is an interesting debutant having his first start as a four-year-old. The son of Brutal has only been seen at the trials twice and looked the part in both, handling wet conditions too. Some early market support suggest he could be ready to make an eye-catching debut. DOLLARS (3) has had chances with placings in four of his eight starts. A narrow defeat over a mile at Warwick Farm last time reads well for this. Up to a mile second-up should boost RIDGEBACK (1) 's claims. VERDICT: BRUT NATURE (2) to win. Trainer Brad Widdup has kept his options open for SAVVY HALLIE (10) 's return but if she lines up here, she likely wins. The daughter of Hellbent boasts some serious form during her juvenile season with runner-up finishes in both the Group 3 Bailleau and Group 2 Percy Sykes Stakes. She can knock off her maiden pretty fast, albeit at rock bottom odds. RUINATION (4) is a blueblood son of Wootton Bassett out of Group 1 winner Daysee Doom that has trialled up well ahead of his debut. DIETRICH (7) only tired late on debut so should strip fitter second-up. VERDICT: SAVVY HALLIE (10) to win, trifecta 10 (standout) from 2, 4,7. ZOUNAKA (4) makes her return from a 22-week spell after showing some promise last preparation. She was a winner first-up last time before her consistency was rewarded later in the prep with a crack at the Listed Canberra Guineas where she wasn't disgraced. The heavy track is the question mark but she's worth the risk. WAL'S ME MATE (2) got a nice confidence boosting victory last time at Wyong. He'll take plenty of benefit from that and handles the ground. BEAU BANDIT (5), a winner this track and trip in April, is a knockout hope. VERDICT: ZOUNAKA (4) to win, BEAU BANDIT (5) to place. IN AND OUT (3) races in the same green, pink and black colours of his talented stablemate Democracy Manifest. Trainer Chris Waller has taken his time with him but he showed a glimpse of his ability when second at this track on debut in January. He's had a couple of quiet trials and could surprise in an even race. FLORAL LEGEND (5) has trialled up nicely for new trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman. Expect him to be poised to pounce from the good draw. THE STARS (8) will appreciate the drop back to the provincials after being caught wide last start. VERDICT: IN AND OUT (3) each way. THUNDERING SOUL (2) finds himself in one of the most competitive races on the card but looks ready to run a bold race second-up. The home tracker got a mile back over 1100m at Gosford in his return and while he likely gets back here again, he should appreciate the step up to 1250m. Will Stanley's 2kg claim helps his cause. FRONTEX (4) has untapped potential and must be included in all multiples. He was far off the unbeaten Amreekiyah last prep – that's top form for this. BURJ (5) deserves respect with a consistent career to date of two wins, two seconds from six starts. VERDICT: THUNDERING SOUL (2) each-way, saver FRONTEX (4). INNCOURT (2) is a promising Irish-bred import that has so far only been restricted to one Australian start. That came in June at Wyong and the Matt Smith-trained galloper was very impressive, surging home to win over 1200m. He's had a freshen up and tick over trial since. Tipping he will get through his grades quickly. CINSAULT (3) took nine starts to break her maiden but did so stylishly with a 3-1/2 length success over 1300m at Kembla last time. She's in contention again. HOMERIC (4) will likely get back from the draw and be one of the strongest late. SPANDEX (8) is a home tracker chasing a winning hat-trick. The Scott Aspery-trained gelding has won his past two in the bush, including a tough all the way victory over a mile at Scone last time. Rock hard fit from a good draw, he can run well again. MIZELLA (4) has done some of her best racing at Newcastle with two of her three wins coming at the track. She will find this easier than recent Midway assignments. has been doing a terrific job during his debut preparation with wins at Bathurst and Forbes at his past two.

Horse racing tips: ‘She's improving and there is more to come' – Templegate's big NAP goes at Chester

TEMPLEGATE is in red-hot form Sunday's racing confident of smashing the bookies once more. Back a horse by clicking their odds below. PRINCESS RASCAL (2.10 Chester, nap) After a promising Salisbury win, she stepped up markedly again at Windsor, only losing out narrowly to a thriving filly but pulling clear of the rest. She shapes as though this extra quarter-mile will suit and she handles slow ground. Big chance. KASSAYA (3.52 Chester, nb) Classy filly with an explosive turn of foot and a top pedigree. She returned from 13 months off with a taking win in a strong Sandown handicap, clocking a good speed figure and finishing full of running. Has been found a good chance on handicap debut. He ran a strong second at Salisbury last time, stays this trip well and has the best recent form in a modest field. Templegate's tips

QUADDIE Race 5: 2, 5, 6, 11 Race 6: 1, 2, 4, 10 Race 7: 2, 5 Race 8: 6, 12, 16 JOCKEY TO FOLLOW Reece Jones can start the day with a winning double. LAY OF THE DAY Race 6 No.1 DWAYNE: Won a trial for new stable but this is his first run over 1300m. Form is over further. ROCKADEEL (4) is a four-year-old debutant by Dundeel. Had three trials in 2023 before a long break. Close second in her July 9 Gunnedah trial before coming from last to win her July 16 trial here. EMPRESS TSARINA (3) lost considerable ground when severely hampered at the start when seventh at Muswellbrook last start. Go on her three provincial placings before that. SHE'S SO FLY (5) is a first starter by Flying Artie. Third to Rockadeel in her trial here before leading all-the-way to win her July 23 Gosford trial by over four lengths. BET: ROCKADEEL (4) to win. SEE YOU THEN (8) debuted with a second to Straand Care here in January before a spell. Returned with a second to Rembroy at Tamworth before a long head second to Hellwithasmile there 11 days later. MAGURTZ (9) is a debutant by Tassort. Nice effort to beat Head Kahuna in his trial here before tracking the leader and running away to win his Beaumont heat. FLYING MOLLY (6) was good first-up from a long lay-off when third to Herman Said. Followed with a solid second to Nova Centauri. BET: SEE YOU THEN (8) to win. CHARLEROI (1) raced outside the leader buy was no match to Hooligan Tommy when runner-up as favourite in a Midway Bm68 at Gosford 12 days ago. STORM PARK (7) resumed with a sixth to Malabar over 1350m at Gosford before a closing fifth to Cash Me over 1500m at Hawkesbury. His maiden win was over 1600m and suited stepping up to 1700m. GREAT POINT (5) dops in grade after two runs in TAB Highways at Rosehill and Randwick. Winner at Tamworth before that. BET: CHARLEROI (1) to win. CHAMPAGNE TONIGHT (7) was spelled after a debut third at Cranbourne in October. Resumed from a spell for a new stable with a nose win from I'm Done over 1000m here. Missed the start by two lengths when a neck third at Moree last start. EDGE OF MIDNIGHT (4) resumed with a nose second to Manage The Cycle here on July 14. Is two from two second-up. ECHELON (6) placed once in nine starts in Victoria. Transferred to the Cavanough stable and scored a good win from Jagerschnitzel at Muswellbrook. Good chance again. BET: CHAMPAGNE TONIGHT (7) to win. GHAZNAVI (2) was unlucky two starts back after caught deep throughout from a wide gate when a nose second to Saint Philomena over 1400m at Mudgee. Stepped up to 1600m and was again wide before beating The Big Blue here. Drawn ideally and will give this a shake. PINDORAMA (11) tracked the leader before scoring a two length win from Mad Harry on debut here on June 23. Got well back from a wide draw before running home for third to Wild Sensation 18 days later. OCEANFRONT (5) will be improved by his first-up second at Tamworth. BET: GHAZNAVI (2) each-way. SMART BUY (9) was a little unlucky not to break her maiden second-up last campaign when a three-quarter length second to Tulipwood at Dubbo after being held-up on the turn. Again held-up when fourth over 1000m here first-up. EAGLETURN (2) was bumped near the 75m when third to Great Idea on debut at Tamworth and was promoted to second after a protest. Has claims. DWAYNE (1) steps out for a new stable off a Gosford trial win. Has provincial form from 1500m up to 1890m. BET: SMART BUY (9) each-way. SOLITARIO (2) resumed with a nice win from Star Prediction to break his maiden here before returning to win a Class 1 from Cresta Run. Raced wide without cover when a neck third to Ilovenews when shooting for a hat-trick in a Bm66. GIRRAWHEEN (5) was fifth to Solitario in the Class 1 first-up before dropping back to 1100m and beating My Boy Scout at Dubbo. SEBILLA (7) has been freshened since fading in a Highway Rosehill on June 14. Has claims on her third to Fiorsum Fred here three starts back. BET: SOLITARIO (2) to win. CRESTA RUN (6) came from near last and ran on strongly when a nose second to Solitario first-up. Raced a little keenly when runner-up to Wild Sensation here last start. ALL TOO WILD (12) resumed with a half-length second to Dashing Basics at Grafton on July 6. Followed up with a half-length second to Tonkatsu Goddess at Gosford. Her maiden win came third-up. UPWARDLY MOBILE (16) was spelled after suffering cardiac arrhythmia here in March. Won first-up last campaign and trialled nicely when fifth here on July 16. BET: CRESTA RUN (6) to win. â– â– â– â– â–
